Tony's Album Top Tens

A quick word: Rather than continue updating an arbitrary list of yearly top tens and honorable mentions, I've decided to simply catalog albums I've rated at least 7 out of 10 and higher. (Years wherein I've not given at least ten 7's or higher, I'll also catalog the 6's temporarily.) There's a heavy bias toward very recent years for two reasons: (1) I signed up for a Spotify Premium account in early 2019 and (2) shortly thereafter is when I started rating and cataloging albums I listened to. So anything and everything listed on this page I've heard at least once since ca. mid-2019 (or more recently). Anything before that will not be here until I listen to it again (and believe me, the queue is depressingly long). One last note on live albums: I have finally decided to include live albums on my lists, though my valuation of live albums differs quite a bit from studio albums. A live album in which the artist does little more than play live renditions of songs that are ultra-faithful to their studio counterparts is not interesting to me. Even if I love the songs being played. This type of live album makes no sense to me. The live albums I cherish are the ones that offer an experience you can't get from the studio recordings; maybe the tracks have not been released elsewhere, are completely reimagined, or totally improvised and altered to the extent that they barely resemble their former selves.
